The Federal Siberian Research Clinical Centre has a platform for health and biomedical support of athletes of national and reserve teams of the Russian Federation. Every tenth competitor of the Olympic and Paralympic team of Russia is assigned to the Federal Siberian Research Clinical Centre under FMBA of Russia. All athletes are tested in-depth through medical examinations prior to their departure for a competition and receive necessary preventive care.
Since March 2015 medical and psychological testing at a clinical psychologist’s has been added to the examination procedure. It allows to evaluate the emotional and volitional state of a sportsman, his (her) memory, attention and ability to handle stress. Also, athletes have an opportunity to take a course of psychological rehabilitation. Recovering from injuries and training process of the athletes are performed with the most modern simulators with biofeedback. The doctors in sports medicine of the center have impressive experience: as part of the FMBA team of Russia the specialists participated in medical support of the Olympic Games in London in 2012, the Universiade 2013 in Kazan, the Winter Deaflympics 2015. Now doctors are prepared to provide service at the Winter World University Games 2019, which will be held in Krasnoyarsk.
